Well,
I was able to create an account pretty easily but, when I went to send the email to get permission to join, I kept getting an error message saying the site was down. It took me a while to be able to send it.

Hello, All!
My name is Larry Hooper and I have been an educator for 19 years now. I have taught all levels, including high school, community college, university, adult school and junior high school, both in the United States and Germany and Switzerland, where I lived for 8 years.
I have Master’s degrees in both German and French, a TESOL Certificate and a Single Subject Teaching Credential in English, German and French.
I currently teach both a German class at Mira Costa College and German, ESL and Modern Literature at the high school level (that is my full-time position).
I have taught for online high schools part-time in the past and have enjoyed the experience. There, however, the curriculum and courses were set up and we just had to upload our own syllabi and teach weekly lessons via the Elluminate platform, using the online whiteboard and a headset with a microphone.
I really enjoyed that experience and wanted to take this course to eventually be able to develop my oen courses in the future!
I look forward to working with all of you!
